Letter to the Prime Minister : Death of Sri. E. Ahamed MP

Dear Narendra Modiji,

I am writing this letter to bring to your kind attention the controversy which has evolved around the sad and sudden demise of Shri. E. Ahamed, the veteran parliamentarian from Kerala. Shri. E. Ahamed had collapsed in the Parliament and was taken directly to the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. However, the protocol of treatment provided therein and the manner in which his colleagues from the Parliament as well as his family members were dealt with by the hospital staff have raised serious concerns. Needless to say, the situation should have been handled in a humanitarian way.

To allay the apprehensions of his family, colleagues and the people of Kerala, I request that the entire matter may kindly be enquired into. I would also like to suggest that steps may be taken to avoid such incidents in the future. I take this opportunity to appreciate your kind gesture, in paying your last respects to Shri. E. Ahamed by visiting his house in New Delhi.

With regards,

Yours sincerely,

Shri. Narendra Modi
Hon’ble Prime Minister of India
