Letter to Railway Minister (Group D Exam of Railway)

Dear Shri. Piyush Goyal ji,

I write this to draw your kind attention to the major slip-up in the Centralized Employment Notice No 2/2018 for the recruitment to ‘Group D’ posts published by the Railway Recruitment Board and the need for early rectification.

I understand that in the said notice the candidates, under the jurisdiction of various railway divisions, are permitted to write the examination in their regional languages. But Malayalam has been excluded from the list of regional languages for the said written examination.

You would appreciate that exclusion of the Malayalam language would deprive the candidates from Kerala, who wish to appear for the exam, their legitimate rights to choose their language.

I would therefore request for your kind intervention for issuing necessary instructions to the concerned authorities for effecting an early corrigendum to include Malayalam language for those who wish to appear for the exam under the Notice 2/18 for the recruitment to ‘Group D’ posts.

With regards,

Yours sincerely,

Hon’ble Minister of Railways,
Govt. of India,
Rail Bhawan, Rafi Marg
New Delhi-110 001.
