Plan outlay of 1410 crores for next fiscal accepted
Thirvuananthapuram 25-01-2012: The Government has accepted the plan outlay of Rs 1410 cores for the state, as recommended by State Planning Board, said CM. He was briefing the cabinet decisions here.
In order to make available the projects under National Manufacturing policy of Central Government, G C Gopalapillai has been appointed as the special officer for coordination of the projects.
Rs 200 crores has been sanctioned this year for developing roads in the state, said CM. It has also been decided to bring in a special scheme for developing roads. 1000 kms of road will be developed in the next 5 years, said CM.
Sanction has been accorded for a DYSP office at Changanassery by bifurcating the Kottyam police sub division.
The family of Vinod Kumar, the fireman who died during a rescue operation at Thrissur will be given Rs 4 lakhs from Government and Rs 1 lakh form electricity Board.
Rs 35,000 each will be given to all the players of Kerala Hand ball team who were attacked by the Punjab team while the semi final match was progressing.
It has also been decided to accord sanction for the proposal to revise the PWD manual, said CM. The manual of 1972 is being followed now and has not been revised since.
State Government guarantee of Rs 500 crore will be given to the State Agricultural Rural Development Bank.
The project cost for the first phase of Vizhinjam Project has been revised to Rs 4010 crores from the earlier Rs 2530 crores, said CM.
The cabinet has decided to grant NOC to Corporate Managements for starting Law Colleges in the state, said CM. However this will be subject to the restrictions imposed by Bar Council of Indian and Bar Council of Kerala and Government of Kerala.
