Government of Kerala ,Central Government and World Bank has signed the Rs.1195 Crore “Kerala Local Government Service Delivery Project” (KLGSDP). This project which intends to strengthen the capacity of Grama Panchayats and Municipalities in Kerala to deliver better services and a greater decentralization at the local level was signed in the presence of the Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy.
Minister for Urban Development P K Kunhalikutty, Minister for Panchayats M K Muneer, and Minister for Rural Development K C Joseph were also present on the occasion.
Mr. Venu Rajamony Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance for the Government of India, Mr. James Varghese, Principal Secretary, Department of Local Self Government for the Kerala Government, and Mr. Roland Lomme for World Bank signed the KLGSDP agreement
