Thiruvanathapuram: All the vacancies of fireman in the Fire and rescue Department will be filled immediately, said CM. He was speaking after releasing a documentary on Fire and Rescue Services.
At present there are 1258 fireman vacancies. Since the present force in fire and rescue service is insufficient to meet the challenges these vacancies will be filled in a time bound manner.
Oommen Chandy said that the kin of any deceased while in service has the right to be inducted into service from the date of submitting the application. Now only one such case is pending and action will be taken without delay.
