CM inaugurates new marine project
Thiruvananthapuram 22-07-2011:Necessary steps would be taken to ensure the lifestyle and income of the fisher folks, said CM. He was inaugurating the new marine project organized by Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) and Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Agriculture at Vizhinjam.
The share of marine products is increasing in the export sector. Along with this the marine resources needs to be enhanced, said CM.
CM inaugurated the new project by releasing 1000 fingerlings to the sea produced in hatchery. Sashi Tharoor MP, Jameela Prakash MLA, RGCA Project Director Y.C Thampi Sam Raj, MPEDA Chairman Leena Nair were also present.
