Thiruvananthapuram 04-08-2011: In a move to increase the strength of Janamaitri Suraksha Project 740 more police personals will be posted in the state, said CM. He was inaugurating the annual evaluation seminar of the project.
He told that just because the previous Government implemented the project, it is unjustifiable for the next Government to discontinue it. CM reminded that even at the time of severe disagreements with the previous Government on various issues, he supported the Janamaitri project.
The message of Janamaitri Suraksha Project is to take the people into belief. It is because the people think that the police is with them, five or six of them could control thousands. Police should take a different stand instead of looking everyone with suspicion.
The suggestions that came up in the meeting would be considered and steps would be taken in this regard.
Minster V.S Sivakumar, MLAs V.D Satheesan, Purushan Kadalundi, Thomas unniyadan and DGP Jacob Punnoose were present at the function along with other high police officials.
