Thiruvananthapuram 09-08-2011: Urgent steps would be initiated to sanction more posts in the Motor Vehicle Department, said CM. He was inaugurating the Motor Vehicle Department’s Intelligent Enforcement Automation System at Trans Towers here.
He also said that this system would be extended to all the districts soon. The Motor Vehicle inspectors and officials have been given PDAs to verify the authenticity of the vehicle records and driving license.
CM said that the official who finds his vehicle violating the traffic rules will be given Rs 500 as cash award. Several broachers regarding road safety were also unveiled by CM at the function.
Minster V.S Sivakumar, Mayor K Chandrika, IT Mission Director A Shajahan, Motor Vehilce Department Secretary K Elangovan, Transport Commissioner T.P Senkumar were also present at the occasion.
