Thiruvananthapuram 10-08-2011: About 3000 teachers who were working in aided school without salary will be given posting, said CM. He was briefing the media after the cabinet meeting.
All the teachers who are not getting salary after the opening of the school will be given salary with arrears. Those teachers who lost their jobs due to head-count will be re inducted into service and there will be no head- count from next year, CM informed. A total of 10503 teachers would get the benefit. He added that a category named protected teachers will cease to exist. Instead a teacher’s bank would be set up.
The teacher–student ratio will be made 1:30 and 1:35 in LP and UP schools respectively. The managements will not be allowed to create teaching posts and get sanction from Government.
A Quality improvement scheme will also me made which will be linked with the Central Government schemes.
The small scale farmers having less than one hectares of land will be given a monthly pension of Rs 300.
T Sreedharan, Tharun Das and G.Vijayaraghavan will be the Members of State Planning Board. Other members will be decided by UDF later, informed CM.
For the air service between Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Kozhikode the flights operating will be exempted from aviation fuel tax, the Government decided.
IGNOU regional centre in Thiruvananthapuram will be allotted 1 acre of land and 2.44 hectares of land will be given to Kendriya Vidyalaya in Kozhencheri.
Rs 6 crores have been allotted to Khadi Board for giving rebates this festival season.
Rs 3 lakhs each will be given to the relatives of five persons who were dead at Ochira level cross. The treatment of the injured will be taken up by the Government.
