Thiruvananthapuram 11-08-2011: Government will give all support and help to produce milk that is needed by Kerala in Kerala itself, said CM. He was speaking after laying the foundation stone of a new dairy plant for exclusive manufacture of milk products here. The total cost of the new dairy plant is Rs 5 crores.
The condition of Kerala relying on other states for milk and other products should change. We should be able to attain self sufficiency in milk production. For this all possible help would be extended to Milma by the Government.
Minister for Dairy Development K.C Joseph inaugurated the construction of expansion projects proposed by the Thiruvananthapuram Regional Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union Ltd (TRCMPU). The expansion project is proposed to be completed within one- and-a-half year time period.
Minister V.S Sivakumar presided over the function. Mayor K Chandrika and V Sivankutty MLA were present at the function.
