The CNN-IBN & CNBC-TV18 ‘State of the Poll’ survey conducted by Centre for Study of Developing Societies has rated Oommen Chnady as the most popular Congress Chief Minister in India.
67% of the people are satisfied with the performance of Oommen Chandy while 16% mark dissatisfaction.
The survey was carried out in 1300 selected centers across 19 states. Out of the 19 Chief Ministers, Oommen Chandy ranks seventh. Kerala ranks 10th in the overall performance state wise.
Out of the 19 chief Ministers, seven are from Congress. Tarun Gogoi (Assam), Ashok Gehlot (Rajastan), Bhupinder Singh Hooda (Haryana), Prithviraj Chavan (Maharashtra), Sheila Dikshit (Delhi) and Kiran Kumar Reddy (Andhra Pradesh) are the other Congress CMs behind Oommen Chandy.
Nitish Kumar (Bihar ) tops the list while Raman Singh (Chhattisgarh),Mamta Banerjee (West Bengal), Shivaraj Singh Chauhan (Madhya Pradesh) Narendra Modi (Gujarat) and Naveen Patnaik (Orissa) are the others who are ahead of Oommen Chandy in performance, the survey shows.
