Union Railway Ministers and Railway Board Chairman will visit Kerala on September 19th to attend a top level meeting on railway development of the state, said CM. State Ministers, MPs from Kerala and top officials will attend the meeting. Major issues like Coach Factory, Cherthala wagon factory, gauge conversions, Memu service, Thiruvananthapuram-Mangalore High Speed railway corridor, engaging unmanned railway gate and completion of over bridge construction will be discussed in details. Answering a question CM said that demand for Railway Zone is an all time prayer of Kerala.
The cabinet today has decided to request the Governor to convene the Assembly on 26th September. Last year’s guidelines will persist in the matter of bonus disbursement as far as public Sector is concerned. Those who are not eligible for bonus will find an increase of Rs. 150 in their festival allowance. A special cabinet will be held on 26th September to decide upon bonus matter of labour in various sectors.
