Five year plan for panchayats
Thiruvananthapuram 04-09-2011: Five-year plan for the panchayats in the State is under the active consideration of the Government, said the Chief Minister. The practical problems faced by the Panchayatiraj institutions under the present system of annual plan are to be solved and the five-year plan would be a solution to it to a certain extent, the CM said. The process of allotting funds to the panchayats will be simplified. He said that adequate funds would be provided to panchayats for developmental activities. He was releasing the citizen charter of the panchayat department. Transport Minister V S Sivakumar inaugurated the distribution of mobile simcards to the panchayat presidents and secretaries at the function.Projects & Initiatives |
