10 MLD Water for Industrial purpose from Malampuzha Dam
Thiruvananthapuram 15-09-2011: It has been decided to provide 10MLD water daily for industrial purpose for the rail coach factory and the new unit of Bhrath Earth Movers Limited that is to come up at KINFRA’s two industrial parks at Kanchikode in Palakkad.
The decision in this regard was taken at a meeting convened by CM. Kerala Water Authority has been authorized to lay the pipeline for this purpose. The capacity of the pipeline will be 20 lakh liters taking into consideration the future use and the extra water that might be available when the sediments are removed from the dam.
Minister P.K Kunhalikutty, P J Joseph, and Additional Chief Secretary Industries T Balakrishnan were part of the meeting.
