New Delhi 22-09-2011: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy today has called for an urgent meeting on Monday for discussing on the security arrangements in Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple treasure.
CM said that the Government had received the report submitted by the expert committee headed by Director General of National Museum C V Ananda Bose.
Meanwhile Apex Court today directed that vault-B of Padmanabhaswamy temple will be opened only after the completion of the substantial work on the documentation and categorization of the treasure recovered from the other five chambers.
Supreme Court said that vault-B of temple will be opened only after documentation and preservation of assets unearthed so far. Further Court rejected the plea to hand over temple’s security to CRPF rather directed state government to provide foolproof cover.
The Court had on July 21 appointed a five-member expert committee to supervise the unearthing and preservation of assets of the Padmanabhaswamy temple.
