Center gives clearance for various projects
New Delhi 22-09-2011: The setting up of a Marine University and the tribal welfare project in Attappadi has got the clearance from the centre. CM and his team who are in Delhi had met eight Union Ministers and two ministers of state to get clearance for key projects on their first day of visit.
The amount of rice for APL families will be increased to 15kg from 10kg and the union ministry has promised assistance for farming in coal lands. Other projects that has received clearance are the artificial insemination centers, cold storages and the project to make Idukki self relent in dairy products.
Further CM has signed an MoU with KIOCL to explore the possibility of iron ore mining in Kerala.
