Alappuzha 09-10-2011: Though the Kuttanad Package failed to rise up to the expected level, the rest of the package will be taken forward in a successful manner, said CM. Government has requested Dr. Swaminathan to come to Kerala to examine the progress made in the implementation of the package.
CM said that Dr. Swaminathan would come down to Kerala after the current Assembly session to see how the package can be implemented effectively and added that a prosperity council will be formed based on his suggestions. CM was addressing a public meeting here.
On the alleged pitfalls raised by the media in the implementation of this package, CM said that the work on the package had stated during the tenure of the last Government and the package did not come out in the expected manner.
