Thiruvananthapuram 10-10-2011: Apart from upgrading the existing facilities at Tagore Theatre, a Cultural Centre will also be built where different art forms can be performed, said CM. He was speaking at a meeting of personalities from the field of art and culture convened here.
The stage would be designed in such a manner that drama and other art forms can be performed. The new design will incorporate the cultural heritage of the country.
Minister K.C Jospeh said that the project will incorporate the existing theatre and the new project.
A suggestion that Tagore Theatre should be renovated, protecting the existing theatre and environment came up during the discussion.
Minister V.S Sivakumar, ONV Kurup, Adoor Gopalakrishnan, Kanai Kunjiraman, MLAs V Sivankutty, K. Muraleedharan, Dr George Onakoor, D Raghuthaman, M.M Hassan, G Vijayaraghavan attended the meeting.
