Unconditional title deeds for 3000 families: CM

Thiruvananthapuram 12-10-2011: The high level meeting convened by CM has decided to give unconditional title deeds to about 3000 families residing at Upputhura, Ayappankovil, Kanchiyaar, Kattapana in Idukki district.

It has been decided thus, taking into account the permanent residence and agricultural needs of the people here.

It has been decided to proclaim this area a special zone to prevent construction works here in future taking into account the security of the dam and the geographical specialty of the area.

Since Perinchakutty electricity project has been dropped, the Government will consider the distribution of the land acquired for this to the eligible.

Ministers Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, Aryadan Muhammad, MLAs Roshi Augustine, E.S Bijimol, Additional Chief Secretary (Revenue) Niveditha P Haran, Land Revenue Commissioner K.B Valsalakumari, KSEB Chairman T.M Manoharan and Idukki District Collector E Devadas were also part of the meeting.
