20 more Modern Fish Markets will be set up: CM
Thiruvananthapuram 13-10-2011: It has been decided to set up 20 more Modern Hygienic Fish Markets in the state with the assistance of National Fisheries Development Board, said CM. He was speaking at a meeting of Kerala State Coastal Area Development Corporation Limited here.
Northern Kerala will be given special focus while implementing the scheme. This is in addition to six projects worth 13.5 crores that are already sanctioned in Aluva, North Paravur, Pangode, Pathanamthitta, Muvattupuzha and Thevara. The works of Aluva and North Paravur markets will be completed by March 2012. The Pangode market will be completed by May 2012. Works in Pathanamthitta, Muvattupuzha and Thevara will start in two months time.
