Financial Vigilance Wing to monitor Kuttanad Package: CM

kuttanadThiruvanathapuram 03-11-2011: A Financial Vigilance Wing will be formed to monitor the implementation of Kuttanad Package, said CM. He was speaking at a meeting convened at the Durbar Hall here.  Technical experts will also be included in the committee. CM said that a meeting will be held December 22 2011 at Mankombu under the leadership of Prof. M S Swaminathan. CM pointed out that precise monitoring is required to achieve the aims kept forward by this package.

 Apart from making Kuttand pollution free, drinking water projects will also be implemented as part of this project. It has been decided to complete the developmental works of Changanassery- Alappuzha canal in three phases. The district collector has been entrusted to carry out studies regarding the rehabilitation package. It has also been decided to procure 100 harvesting machines for Pathanamthitta district.

Ministers K. M Mani, PJ Joseph, K P Mohanan, Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, and CN Balakrishnan were also present.
