Systematic monitoring needed for 12th Five Year Plan: CM

Thiruvananthapuram 17-11-2011: For the time bound implementation of 12th Five Year Plan systematic monitoring is necessary, said CM. He was presiding over the all party meeting convened here to discuss the approach paper of the project.

As the project implementation gets delayed the cost increases thereby delaying the output, said CM.  One third of the project fund is given to local self governing institutions. CM said that Malayalees outside Kerala achieve a lot and added that by having self confidence one can overcome the barriers.

Different party leaders presented their ideas and pointed out things that needed improvement for development of the state.

State Planning board Vice Chairman K. M Chandrasekhar said that all these suggestions will be considered before preparing the final draft of the project.

Minsters K. C Joseph, P K Kunhalikutty, SPB members C P John and G Vijayaraghavan were present.
