Kochi 19-11-2011: The venue of the Mass Contact Programme here witnessed a heavy rush of people to get their complaints redressed.
More than 10,000 petitions were received so far. Complaints received in advance had been sent to the departments concerned for follow-up action. Departmental heads have been asked to bring the newly received complaints with remarks today to the venue for action.
Differently-abled and those with complaints related to the relief fund will be given preference in access to the Chief Minister. So far 300 complaints have been resolved in this category.
Separate counters are set up for the each department. Complaints relating to different departments are being guided to the counters concerned.
Thos petitions that require high level action will be taken along by the Chief Minister and tokens will be issued to the complainants.
CM inaugurated the programme at 10.30 am. The programme is likely to proceed late in to the night. Benny Behanan, MLA presided over the function. Union Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies K.V. Thomas, Ministers Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, V.K. Ibrahim Kunju and K. Babu, Mayor Tony Chammany, MPs, and MLAs from the district were present.
