Thiruvananthapuram 06-12-2011: A Medical College will soon come up at Haripad under the Cochin Airport Authority Limited (CIAL) model.
The National Thermal Power Corporation has conceded to provide land for this purpose. The steps for this would be completed with the consent of the Central Government. CM has given instruction to the Health Secretary Rajeev Sadanandan to go forward with the formalities.
CM will hold talks with Prime Minister and Finance Minister regarding the development of Kayamkulam thermal power plant. The state will stress its need for the allocation of more natural gas for the power plant.
Minister K C Venugopal, NTPC Chairaman Anoop Roy Chaudhary, Director A J Kapoor, S P Singh, Health Secretary Rajeev Sadanandan also took part in the meeting.
