New Delhi 14-12-2011: All party delegation from Kerala headed by Chief Minster Oommen Chandy today knocked the doors of PM seeking his intervention on the Mullaperiyar issue. The delegation submitted a memorandum on the safety concerns related to Mullaperiyar dam to the Prime Minister. The delegation said that no responsible government or party can afford to remain a silent spectator when people are living in constant fear of death and destruction, said “Kerala will ensure the same quantity of water for Tamil Nadu as they now receive even after constructing a new dam. But government of Tamil Nadu has turned a deaf ear to this proposal,” the memorandum cited.
