Thiruvananthapuram 19-12-2011: CM today instructed the high level police officials that steps should be enforced so that not even a stray incidence of violence in the name of Mullaperiyar should happen in the state. Strict action should be initiated against such acts.
CM convened the meeting as false news of violence in Kerala in the name of Mullaperiyar is fast spreading. CM also instructed that total protection should be given to the pilgrims who visit Sabarimala. Smooth flow of traffic must also be ensures, he added.
The meeting has also decided to beef up the security in the border areas of Kerala.
