Strength of democracy lies in the belief of people: CM
Thiruvananthapuram 27-12-2011: Strength of democracy lies in the belief of people in governance, said CM. He was inaugurating the valedictory function of the Diamond Jubilee celebration of Assembly here.
People should recognize that the Government is with them striving hard for their welfare. Only then can the democracy be termed a success, said CM. He added that whatever achievements the assembly has accomplished, the contributions of former members are commendable.
CM also inaugurated the Centre for Parliamentary studies and Training and the digitization process of the assembly proceedings.
Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan, Ministers, MLAs, former members of assembly and several officials also participated in the function.
