Thiruvananthapuram- 30-12-2011: Strict action will be initiated against those officials who fail in reporting the vacancies till March 31 to the PSC. Instruction has been given in this regard to all the secretaries, said CM. He was briefing the special cabinet decisions to the media here.
Vacancies to the post of physically challenged should also be reported, said CM. CM said that he was glad that the PSC has accepted the recommendation of Government to extend the tenure of rank lists till April 30.
An enquiry will be sought against the delay in filling the vacancies of 470 physically challenged posts for the past five years and for not sending advice memo to 22,000 different posts.
Government will give stress for a centralized waste treatment project as a solution to the issue of garbage disposal. Each unit of a flat will be given Rs 500 for setting up waste treatment plants. As a result each flat would get a minimum of Rs 15,000. Such plants would also be set up at Government offices and official residences of ministers, said CM. Regional plants would be set up at Kozhikode, Ernakulam and Trivandrum. First plant would come at Brahmapuram in 10 acres. Order has been passed proclaiming Wayanad as a disaster hit state.
