Thiruvananthapuram 11-01-2012: CM today discussed with the Canadian delegates who visited him, the possibility of strengthening co-operation between the two countries in different sectors. Canada will consider the setting up of a Canadian Trade Centre here in Kerala.
The need to impart training for developing human skills and providing excellent facilities for higher education with the co-operation of Canada were also discussed. The possibility of Joint Certification in the filed of higher education was also discussed.
CM sought the co-operation of Cananda for bringing developments in the field of Indistries, IT, Agriculture and also for developing basic facilities. The representatives informed that they are ready to share the scientific knowledge in building low cost houses. The delegates will visit Technopark tomorrow and would hold discussion with heads of different companies.
Ministers P K Kunhalikutty, K M Mani, Principal Secretary Dinesh Sharma, Finance Secretary V P Joy and Intel Chairman T Balakrishnan also participated in the meeting.
The Delegation consisted of Canadian Minister Chugsen Leung, Joe Daniel MP, Saverio Montamanaro, Nicholas Marcos and Tom Varghese.
