Thiruvananthapuram 13-01-2012: A 12 member media team from Kashmir visited CM and interacted with him here today. They discussed with him the socio-political scenario that exists in the state. To their question of how Kerala becomes a role model for other states in social upliftment, CM replied that it is due to the education imparted in all areas and the social awareness that results.

CM said that when media freedom and media awareness is taken into consideration Kerala is in the forefront. The team said that the media of Kashmir is committed and are trying to bring all the people of Kashmir into the mainframe of the society. As a result they are able to control the Kashmir problem without affecting the lives of the people.

The team would visit Kovalam, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Kottyam, Idukki, Attappadi and Silent Valley. The team will be in the state till January 20.
