Mass Contact Programme: Review meeting held

Thiruvananthapuram 17-01-2012: A review meeting to analyze the follow up action that is to be taken for the Mass Contact Programmes that were conducted was held here at the Collectorate today. The meeting was chaired by CM. CM said that the Mass Contact Programmes helped to bridge the gap between people and government officials and also to increase the faith of people in this Government.

A special cabinet will be held to take appropriate action in the petitions received through Mass Contact Programmes. CM also said that review meetings will be conducted in all districts before February 17. Detailed review was done on the actions taken by the 68 departments. District Collector has been entrusted to prepare a report taking into account the suggestions from the part of the officials. CM said that sanction has been accorded for a new black at civil station, a new road and also a new building for Collector’s Camp House. Sub treasury will start functioning soon, said CM.

Mininster V S Sivakumar, Principal Secretary Dinesh Sharma, District Collector K N Satheesh and other officials were also present.
