Kottayam 21-01-2012: Steps were being taken by the government to issue BPL card to all deserving persons, CM said here today. Government has asked the Central Planning Commission to change the measuring norms for the classification of APL and BPL categories. He was speaking at a meeting to review relief measures approved at the Chief Minister’s mass contact programme at the Collectorate conference hall here.
Those who need houses will be provided the same by including them in any of the schemes. Details will be collected at panchayath level to mark the land that is to be provided for the persons who had given application regarding the same.
CM also said that the banks should be more liberal in providing educational loans. CM has also instructed to complete the pending drinking water projects.
