Thiruvananthapuram 26-01-2012: Government is committed to preserve the principle of secularism and to protect the people and the State, said CM. State has always upheld our secular values and has never tried to dilute or adulterate it. He was addressing the Republic Day parade at the Central here today.
However some deliberate moves are happening from certain quarters against this. CM said that moves like these are most unfortunate and added that if they don’t correct themselves then people will correct hem.
Though the Kerala model of development was discussed within and outside the country, it is not certain that the secular values upheld by the State had received the same amount of attention, said CM. He became the first-ever Chief Minister to receive the salute at the Republic Day parade in the State capital.
