Thiruvananthapuram 01-02-2012: Special financial assistance will be given to the Gender Fest organised by the Social Welfare Department for assuring the participation of women in development of the state, said CM. He was speaking at the meeting convened here to discuss the same.
Minister KM Muneer sought the support of different departments for the successful organization of the Gender Fest. Special committee has been constituted with CM as head and other 10 ministers as members.
101 women will be honoured as part of the Gender Fest, who had made spectacular achievement sin various fields.
The fest would be conducted from March 8 – 17 at Kozhikode. The foundation stone will be laid for the Thandedam Gender Park on March 8, International Women’s Day.
Ministers Adoor Prakash, P.K.Abdu Rabb, K P Mohanan, P. K. Jayalekshmi and other officials were also present.
