Extensive projects by Norka to help expatriates: CM
Thiruvananthapuram 08-02-2012: Norka is giving shape to several projects aimed at the welfare of expatriates, said CM. He was inaugurating the “Swapna Safalyam” project that enables the malalayees who are jailed in gulf countries to return home.
CM inaugurated the project by handing over the return ticket of Kallacheri Mathew to his family. He was released from Saudi jail due to the intervention of CM.
Minister KC Joseph who presided over the function said that the Government is seriously thinking of giving legal aid to those malayalees who are in jail in the Gulf countries.
The project is a joint venture of Norka Roots and ITL Group.
Ministers K Babu, V S Siva Kumar, Adoor Prakash, ITL Chairman Siddique Ahammad Haji were also present.
