Nanma Stores, a project to give relief to people: CM
Thiruvananthapuram 19.04.2012 : The project to launch 2000 Nanma Stores across the State was an attempt to provide relief to the common man from price hike of essential commodities, said Chief Minister Oommen Chandy here today. Inaugurating the project he said that the government would ensure the effective functioning of the stores.
Speaker G Karthikeyan inaugurated the Triveni School Market at the programme. The Government plans to open 2000 Triveni School markets in the state during the coming two months. Health-Devaswom Minister V S Sivakumar inaugurated the Sasneham- a scheme to distribute school kits to high school students. The first sale in the Nanma store was performed by Mayor K Chandrika. Minister for Co-operation C N Balakrishnan presided over the function. Consumer Fed president Joy Thomas and Managing Director Rigi G Nair also attended the function.
