Paperless office MESSAGE inaugurated in IT-Mission

As part of e-governance envisaged in the IT Policy 2007, a paperless administration system in the IT-Mission, MESSAGE, was inaugurated by Chief Minister V. S. Achuthanandan on Feb. 15, 2007. The inordinate delay in the movement of files and in taking decisions on the issues therein could be solved by electronic file system.

National Informatics Centre developed the software for the purpose. Technical facilities and expertise for such acivities are provided in the state Data Centre at CoBank towers. The state is developing a full fledged data center at Technopark. 1500 Akshaya centers giving various services to common people, SPARK scheme to deal with pay and services to employees, websites of all departments in Malayalam and English etc. are some of the IT endeavors to achieve transparency and speed in governance.
