Paloli Mohammed Kutty

Born on 11^th November, 1931 at Kodoor, Malappuram District. Entered politics as a student. Became a Member of the Communist Party in 1951. An active participant of the Farmers’ Movement. Was State Secretary and President of Kerala Karshaka Sanghom for 15 years. Was Director of the Desabhimani Printing and Publishing Company. Had a pioneering role in the Library Movement in Malabar Now, Member CPI (M) Central Committee and State Committee. Got elected to KLA in 1965 from Mankada, (that Assembly was not convened), from Perinthalmanna in 1967 and from Ponnani in 1996.  Was minister from 1996-2001. Now represents Ponnani constituency.
