Along with Sri. Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, I inaugurate the cultural heritage fest that is being held under the joint auspices of both the Kerala and Delhi Governments. I am sure this will offer an occasion for Delhiites to get acquainted with the rich and varied cultural heritage of Kerala about which every Keralite is proud of.
I begin my speech in English as that is the only language with which I can communicate to our honoured guest of the function Sri. Arvind Kejriwal and other Delhi citizens here. After introducing Kerala in a few words to you all, I will switch over to Malayalam to communicate with the Malayali fraternity. However, propriety demands that I should begin my speech in English. If I fail to do so, it will be considered as a disregard or disrespect to our guests who cannot follow Malayalam. (more…)
