The Infrastructure Development in the State is one of the top priorities of the State Government and in that connection Government is very keen to ensure that the existing NH 17 & 47 are converted into 4 lanes. I am reviewing the progress of these works frequently and would like to draw your attention to the following:-
1) Starting Physical Work of NH Widening of Kasargod and Kannur Districts by NHAI from May 2017 onwards:
In the Review Meetings where NHAI officials, including Members from NHAI Headquarters, New Delhi regularly take part, it has been agreed that physical work will be started for widening of NH from May 2017. We would be grateful if the progress made in this direction for the widening work of NH 66 in the Districts of Kasargod and Kannur is reviewed at your level (more…)
As the New Year dawns in the state of Kerala, the government led by the Left Democratic Front is entering the eighth month of good governance. At this juncture of hope and happiness, a retrospective analysis of the targets met will uplift the spirit of the government as well as the people. The manifesto published prior to the election had assured the people of integrated development at every stratum of the society. Ever since the government had assumed office, due importance has been given to industrial and infrastructure development that could accelerate sustainable growth in the economy.
To mobilize funds and to acquire capital for the development of infrastructure facilities, the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) has been restructured to act as the key Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV). (more…)
