Letter to the Minister of Chemicals & Fertilizers (Plastic park)

Dear Shri. Ananthkumar Ji,

Kindly refer to your D.O. letter No. 25015/7/2016-PC-II/5013 dated 5th October, 2016, in response to my letter dated 29th July, wherein you had informed that the locations of all 10 sanctioned Plastic Parks have already been decided and the proposal of Kerala received after February 2016 would be considered in the next phase of the scheme.

It is now more than a year and no indication has been given by the Ministry so far regarding the next phase. We have earmarked and set apart 40 acres of land in the possession of Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation for the proposed park.

I understand that plastic parks sanctioned to locations in some States are yet to take off. I would therefore request that if any of those parks are de- sanctioned, the same may be allotted to Kerala. In case such a reallocation is not possible.

I would request your kind intervention for early structuring of the next phase of the Scheme, as you had mentioned in your letter, so that States including Kerala that were not part of the first phase of the scheme could use the scheme and set up the facility.

With regards,

Yours sincerely

(PINARAYI VIJAYAN)
