Letter to the Minister for Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises

Dear Shri. Anant Geete ji,

The BHEL Electrical Machines Limited is a joint venture between BHEL and Government of Kerala established in the year of 2011, with majority stake vested with BHEL, and has been notified as a C category CPSE by Government of India. The firm was established with the sole motive of overall improvement of the region of Kasaragod and for addressing unemployment issues prevailing in the Kasaragod district. Kasaragod is the most industrially backward district of Kerala. At the time of inception and thereafter also, a lot of participatory help from BHEL was expected in all forms. In the absence of supportive interest from BHEL since inception, the company is now facing a lot of problems/challenges in all fronts which cannot be resolved without active, participative and coherent support from all stake holders.

Under this condition, I request that an earnest effort from your noble office may be bestowed in this matter and an immediate meeting may be convened in your presence between related parties, ministry officials and also participants from Government of Kerala to discuss the issues in detail in order to make the establishment viable and feasible by exploring all avenues including modernization.

With regards,

Yours sincerely,

PINARAYI VIJAYAN

Shri Anant Geete
Hon. Union Minister for Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises
